STERN ENGINEERING RETURN POLICY

GENERAL RETURNS:

Stock items that have not been installed and in their original packaging in sellable condition may be returned and are subject to a 25% restocking charge. The original packaging must include all parts and items that originally came with the item. Items received with missing parts will be refused. To return any product, you must first obtain a Return Materials Authorization (RMA) number from Stern Engineering. Tracking information for the return must be sent to Stern Engineering as soon as the item ships. Returns that are not accompanied with an RMA number and/or no tracking info is forwarded ahead of the shipment may be refused and/or are subject to a 50% restocking charge. All shipping costs for returns will be the responsibility of the customer. The initial shipping costs paid will not be refunded.

ACCEPTABLE PRODUCTS FOR RETURNS:

All products must be in their original packaging in sellable condition. All parts and items that originally came with the item must be included in the original packaging. Items with missing parts will be refused. Special order items may not be returned. Custom items may not be returned. Cubicles/Partitions are considered custom and are not returnable. Items in special finish other than chrome may not be returned. Items that have been installed may not be returned. Parts or components of any kind may not be returned. No returns of any item after 6 months from ship date will be accepted.

DEFECTIVE PRODUCTS:

Stern Engineering must be notified of any defective products within 30 days of receipt. Defective products should be returned to Stern Engineering as soon as possible following the return process above. When the new items are shipped, you will be charged for the items if the defective items have not yet been received and inspected by Stern Engineering. Once the defective products are received and inspected and deemed to be defective any charges for the replacement products and shipping charges associated with the replacement will be credited. No claims for labor will be accepted by Stern Engineering.

SHIPPING DISCREPANCIES:

Damaged material and shipping discrepancies must be reported within 48 hours of receipt. If you received incorrect products notify Stern Engineering within 48 hours and ship the incorrect item(s) back to us. Upon receipt of the incorrect item(s) Stern Engineering will ship the correct item(s) and pay for the shipping cost. After 48 hours, a 25% restocking charge will be applied and the shipping costs will not be paid by Stern Engineering. If you ordered the wrong product or made mistakes on your order notify Stern Engineering within 48 hours. You will be responsible for all shipping costs and subject to a 25% restocking charge.

CANCELLATIONS:

Orders can be cancelled at no charge up to 72 hrs after order is entered, after that a cancelation fee of up to 15% may be applied depending on how far in production the order is and provided the order has not shipped. Once the order has shipped the order can be returned as outlined above and is subject to a 25% restocking charge. Special orders cannot be canceled.
