This event is broadcast in December every year to an audience of more than 3 million viewers, the main aim of which is to raise funds for biomedical research led by scientists from the main Catalan institutions.
La Marató de TV3 appealed to the solidarity of the Catalonian citizens at the height of the pandemic to donate resources that will allow the advance of research to improve the quality and life expectancy of all those affected by the Covid-19. The annual project has become one of the main driving forces behind biomedical research in Catalonia and a powerful platform for raising awareness and disseminating social diseases. Thanks to public solidarity, this year’s event was a huge success and expects to raise over 11 million euros for Covid-19 research.
