A Preview of What’s Next in Public Washroom Design – Stern’s Architectural Event

On September 8, 2026, Stern presented a selection of solutions for public washrooms to architects and designers, showcasing how functionality, accessibility, technology, and design can come together in one space.

Among the solutions presented were VacantView occupancy indication, including a new module for accessible toilets; curved mirrored cabinets integrating soap, water, and automatic paper towel dispensing with halo illumination; the Top Multifeed system combined with Csaba touchless soap or foam dispensers in a variety of finishes; Duct & Panel systems; and touchless cubicles with sliding or swing door configurations.

The event offered a first look at some of the concepts and solutions Stern will bring to BDNY 2026 — with a strong focus on smarter, more accessible, and more design-driven public washrooms.

A valuable opportunity to exchange ideas with the A&D community — and a preview of what’s ahead in New York.
